You tell yourself this as…
You Wake With a Start!
The coldness of your breath is visible in front of your face.
The dark surrounds you.
“What’s that noise?”
But as fast as it began to speed up, your heart rate quickly returns to normal as you realise…
You’re NOT tied up by your G string.
You’re NOT trapped inside a derelict building called the Acoustic Asylum…
…And the Gatekeeper is a long gone memory.
You are at your home.
You open up the curtains, and the beautiful sun is
radiating through your window.
Life is back to normal.
And the chaos of the Acoustic Asylum is truly behind you.
You know this because when you play music on your guitar,
The music resonates beautifully through the air.
And in your heart, the music feels warmer…
You know the curse has been truly lifted.
“Was I dreaming this whole time?” you think to yourself.
And as you’re tuning up to play “Amazing Grace” and other beautiful pieces of music you have learnt recently…
You see the Capo of Confidence glowing and radiating light…
…And faintly in the distance, you wonder if you hear a distant cackle of a familiar rasping voice…
The Gatekeeper’s Odyssey
(To be continued in real-time in your inbox)
I want to thank you for being part of this story – The Gatekeeper’s Odyssey.
It’s been a huge amount of fun to write. I hope it entertained you and helped you on your journey.
…And I hope the story, the adventure, and all the little nuggets of advice, songs, and other stuff helped you with your playing. During the Gatekeeper’s Odyssey, I shared with you quite a few exciting little things to apply to help you become a better guitarist.
Did you manage to find these items hidden throughout the stories?
If not, you can find them all here…
- The Blues Breaker Riff – a simple and fun beginner blues riff anyone can learn
- A free chapter from my book, Fingerstyle 101
- How to play a stunning No Chord Fingerstyle arrangement of “Amazing Grace”
- The “5-Star Award” and getting your first star
- A powerful “Quiz” for all guitarists.
- How to play a fun melody and strumming version of “Drunken Sailor”
- Five short video “reels” teaching you how to strum, fix your technique, play the blues, and more…
If you enjoyed this journey, be sure to check out my Podcast.
And if you’ve enjoyed the wacky ride…
I also invite you to check out my social media pages.
You can also check out my Fingerstyle 101 Facebook Group. It’s only for those who have purchased ANY of my products (don’t worry, some are crazy inexpensive). The reason for that is to stop the Gatekeeper from getting involved in sending his spies. In reality though, it’s to keep the group (which has 1000s of members) a very high-quality group. I’m very protective of my students and the last thing I want is a group of spam.
You’ll find a link to my social media pages and all the other guitar tuition resources, books, and other stuff (some free, some paid) — on this page:
